Here's something I'm working on. I'm planning to add in a background or possibly overlay a black and white photo of the street near the LA church behind him. If someone a bit more prodigious with photoshop wants to do so, I'm perfectly happy to collaborate.

If you know how to work with layers, you can place a photo under and draw over it. That can be done with paper as well.

Just make sure to use a free photo, and it'll be OK.
